Who are we?
Where ancestral know-how meets responsible commitment
Ilanga Nature was founded in 2018 by Olivier Laurent, a globetrotting entrepreneur who, after exploring the world, chose to settle in Madagascar. That is where a calling was born: to grow and share the island’s natural riches in a sustainable and respectful way.
Today, his children, Laura, Nathan and Naya Laurent, have taken over the family business. They uphold the same standard: working directly with the producers.
We work with 400 Malagasy beekeepers across several regions of the island: the Highlands, Manakara, Fort-Dauphin and Toliara. This diversity of terroirs gives very different honeys: lychee, niaouli, eucalyptus, pink peppercorn, cactus, jujube…
Today, we are committed to revealing the treasures of this unique land: wild honeys, exceptional vanilla, rare spices, artisanal jams, salts and much more.
Our curiosity has also taken us to other horizons: Mauritius, Réunion and Sardinia, where we selected authentic products (salts, sugars, olive oils) that reflect the best of each terroir.
We are a community of passionate small producers and artisans, united by the will to preserve ancestral know-how and to promote fair trade. Together, we work to offer a collection of premium artisanal products that respects nature and stays true to the excellence we stand for.

Causes close to our heart
Acting for a sustainable future, in harmony with communities and nature.
In Madagascar, Ilanga Nature invests in projects that combine sustainable development and support for local beekeeping. In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and with the support of several NGOs, we work to professionalise the beekeeping sector.
This commitment means:
- Creating stable job opportunities for rural communities
- Improving the living conditions of beekeepers and their families
- Training and awareness in modern, responsible techniques
- Ethical honey production that respects bees and their ecosystem
Through these actions, we help build a future where people and nature live in balance, giving deep meaning to every product we offer you.
